Dragon-breeding game DragonVale turns five this year, and to celebrate, developer Backflip Studios released an infographic containing stats from the game.
Since DragonVale launched in 2011, more than 305 breeds of dragons have been released in the game, and 1.15 billion dragons have been hatched in total. DragonVale has been downloaded more than 40 million times, and users have played the game over 6.258 billion individual times in the last five years.
Backflip Studios said players have spent a cumulative 77,789 years, three months and 29 days playing DragonVale. As of this writing, 56,366 players have reached the maximum level in the game. In addition, 13,743 players have been playing DragonVale for its entire five-year life.
In addition to revealing these gameplay stats, Backflip Studios launched a special anniversary celebration within the game. During this event, players can collect a special fifth-anniversary dragon called the Wyrmwood Dragon, as well as a limited-time decoration. In addition, as part of this event, Backflip Studios has re-released the game’s previous anniversary dragons, which players can breed or buy. These include the Paper, Cotton, Leathery and Garland dragons. These dragons will only be available for a limited time.
Finally, during this event, players will receive a gift of 10 gems per day.
