Wield The Sword Of A Ronin In The Path To Die

A samurai without a master, walking the roads with only his blade at his side and his deadly skills. The Path To Die puts you in the fierce shoes of a ronin, as he travels through the sprawling grounds of the Imperial Palace to solve a mystery. Of course given the many guards and warriors protecting those secrets, blood will be spilled in this top-down action-adventure set in feudal Japan.

Across an open map divided between homes, cemeteries, villas, gardens, and more, you search for clues and items to progress your adventure. A shovel can be used to dig up a grave in a cemetery, or a key to unlock a door into an previously-inaccessible area. Developer Cat Logic Games compares The Path To Die's structure to that of a Zelda or older Resident Evil, due to the nature of collecting items to solve puzzles, unlock new areas, and defeat bosses.
But between finding items and reaching new places, an army of dangerous foes await. The Path To Die focuses on analog stick movement rather than button combos for its attacks, letting you carefully use specific sword strikes against enemies. Using thrusts and vertical cuts might be necessary in tight temple corridors, while open gardens offer the space for wide slices and spinning strikes or using a bow. Detailed pixel art adds a gory edge to the combat, detailing the spilled blood, lopped limbs, and bisected bodies of your enemies.

The Path To Die will be coming to Steam Greenlight and Kickstarter soon, with a trailer explain...
