Ubisoft Shares More Details on The Division Update 1.4
Update 1.4 for The Division is still in development, and Massive has some huge plans for it. It’s going to be larger than other updates, and it’s going to practically revamp all character balancing in the game. Their biggest focus is closing the gap between optimized characters and non-optimized characters. They also want to create more options for when players do build characters and add more variety. In addition, they want to “bring back the shooter feeling.” I haven’t tapped into The Division in awhile, so I want to ask where it went.
For patch 1.4, they have the following changes planned, but this is not the final list. A more extensive set of patch notes will release when the update goes live next month.
All gear in World Tier 2 and higher will have all three base stats ? Firearms, Stamina, Electronics ? on them, one of these stats will be higher than the others. Other bonuses, like crit chance and headshot damage, will be scaled down to fit the new game balance.
Gear will lose their skill bonuses, but backpacks, holsters and knee pads will gain new performance mod slots, making them easier to customize to fit your build.
Gear Sets will have their Gear Score adjusted to the same levels as High End gear.
Stat overlaps between Gear Scores have been removed.
High End gear talents have been rebalanced.
Scavenging has been removed from the game.
