‘SimpleRockets 2’ is Finally Heading to Mobile Next Month, Up for Pre-Order Now
Developer Jundroo has made a career out of releasing quirky physics-based games on mobile, going all the way back to BridgeBasher in 2009. That paved the way for their SimplePhysics in 2011, which achieved moderate popularity, and led to a follow-up in 2013 called SimpleRockets which became a massive breakout success. They followed that up with SimplePlanes in 2014, but that one never reached the same heights as SimpleRockets did. In the fall of 2017 Jundroo announced a proper sequel to SimpleRockets called SimpleRockets 2 which would expand on the original in a number of ways and would include fully 3D visuals. They had hoped to release SimpleRockets 2 in early 2018, but it wasn’t until November that year that the game launched on Steam in Early Access to critical acclaim. Now nearly a year after that and the mobile version of SimpleRockets 2 is finally on the horizon. Here is a brief mobile teaser followed by the much meatier launch trailer for the desktop version.
As the teaser amusingly points out, the launch date of the mobile version of SimpleRockets 2 is “probably September" and as one of our readers pointed out to us today the game is actually available for pre-order as of a few weeks ago and has an expected release date of September 19th.
