?Dx2 Shin Megami Tensei: Liberation? Releases Next Week in Japan
SEGA will finally release Dx2 Shin Megami Tensei: Liberation in Japan next week. If you aren?t aware, Dx2 Shin Megami Tensei: Liberation is a social RPG from SEGA that will use demons from Atlus? Shin Megami Tensei brand. It was announced earlier this year and they even showed off a lengthy portion of gameplay at TGS. While initially scheduled to release on iOS and Android in 2017, it was delayed until mid January 2018 which is where we are now. Check out Shaun covering both of SEGA?s TGS showings here. Unlike some of the free to play RPGs from Japan that remain exclusive to that region, there are plans to bring this one out worldwide post launch. We have no time frame for it but they it will expand to more regions after launch. As of now the only Atlus mobile game that was localized is unplayable on iOS 11 devices. The first Shin Megami Tensei being localized was a big deal for loads of reasons. For one, it was the first time the game had seen an official localization on any platform. Secondly, it was the first time Atlus USA at the time had localized one of their own IPs for iOS. With iOS 11, many developers scrambled to get their apps and games running and updated and some just gave up. In this case unless you?re on iOS 10 or below, Shin Megami Tensei cannot be officially played in English anymore. Hopefully this does better and remains on the store longer.
