How to Transfer Your ‘Stardew Valley’ Save to iPhone or iPad from PC (and Vice Versa)
We’re in love with the Stardew Valley mobile port (if you can’t tell by our review) but one of the coolest things about it is how the actual save game files for both the mobile and PC version of Stardew are completely cross-platform compatible and portable if you’re willing to spend a bit of time moving stuff around. It’s important to note that if you use any mods on the PC, you’ll want to remove any of them first as mods obviously don’t exist on mobile (yet, anyway).
If you have an existing Stardew Valley game save on your Mac or PC, the first thing you need to do is find the save data. On Windows, hit the Windows Key and R then in the “Run" box that pops up, paste this: %appdata%StardewValleySaves and hit enter. Similarly, on the Mac, open the finder and press Shift, Command and G all at the same time to bring up the “Go" box where you’ll paste the following path and hit enter: ~/.config/StardewValley/Saves – Each will be named based on your character with a number behind it, i.e. Eli_293857293 this folder contains two files that has all your farm data.
Now that we know where these are, the next step is to transfer them to your iPhone or iPad. Make sure you’ve got Stardew Valley installed on your device, and the latest version of iTunes on your computer, then connect your iOS device and open iTunes.
