iOS 10 is Now Available for Download
Coming full circle from its reveal at WWDC this year, iOS 10 is now available for everyone to download. Apple has been doing pretty extensive (and easy to access) public betas, so all the fancy new stuff in iOS to might not be news to you, but as someone who hopped onboard with the release of last week's gold master... I'm >really digging the various tweaks and improvements made across the board. Of course, like with any major iOS version upgrade, it might not be the worst idea to hold off on upgrading a bit to wait and see if any major games or other things are broken. However, if you too live life by the seat of your pants, you can just grab it right now.
Our sister site MacRumors has a very extensive roundup of all the new things in iOS 10, but for our purposes I think the most major addition for gamers is going to be ReplayKit being able to livestream games. Mobcrush was on the scene the day it got announced, and I'm super excited to see what this means for more people streaming iOS games. Oh, also, if you're in to stickers, iMessage is full of 'em now. The jury is still out as to whether this is a good thing or a bad thing. Anyway, whether you upgrade today, tomorrow, or next week, it's a good idea to make sure you've got a super current backup before you do either locally in iTunes or on iCloud. If something goes wrong, you'll want to be able to revert to a good backup.
