Just a few weeks ago marked the second anniversary of Pirates of the Caribbean: Tides of War (Free), Joycity’s massively popular entry in the online strategy battler genre that features massive fan service from Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean movie series. To celebrate this milestone, Joycity has released a huge update adding in a bunch of new content to enhance your plundering and pillaging. Captain Hector Barbossa?s Shade joins the fray as a new unique tactician aboard the Queen Anne?s Revenge, and “provides a powerful buff for a player’s crew of marauders and at the same time, inflicts a debuff on the opponent." The Tactician system itself has been upgraded with a new Tactician Statistics menu where you can see your array of Tacticians and the five attributes for each that strengthen over time. If you’re having trouble leveling up your Tacticians by gathering gifts, you can now use gold to speed up that process.
This update also includes an increased max level for Captains, an increased max level for Common Ships, an Aid System added for returning Captains, and more. The Daily Quest earnings have also been increased, and will now “provide Tears of the Mermaid and Bloody Coins to help you recruit higher tier pirates and complete research at the Lore Collection."
