'Real Steel' Gets Player-Designed Shinobi Robot in Latest Update

There's nothing a game developer wants more than a dedicated player base (well, that and loads of sales), and it looks like Real Steel's [$0.99] player base is definitely dedicated. Recently, Reliance Games launched a competition that asked players to design the next Robot for Real Steel Premium, and the response was really good, with hundreds of entries from over 15 countries. After sorting through all the entries, Reliance Games decided that the winning robot, the top dog, the real steel is Shinobi, the Samurai wielding Japaneselron Assassin. And as you can see in the teaser below, that robot looks quite cool.

The robot was designed by Ryle Sammut, and it's skilled in the art of Samurai fighting, which is a new addition to the Real Steel arsenal. I like when developers open the game up to the players, and it's even cooler when players respond with such cool designs. Go check out Samurai in the new update, which has gone live today.
