SwitchArcade Round-Up: ‘Burnout Paradise Remastered’ and Today’s Other New Releases, the Latest Sales Featuring ‘Saints Row IV’ and More
Hello gentle readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for June 19th, 2020. In today’s article, we go through the rest of the new releases for the week. Not quite as many as yesterday, but still a rather healthy number with a few big names in the bunch. We summarize all of them before sliding into a large list of new sales. No time for news today, but the biggest bit is that EA is apparently planning to release seven games on the Switch this year, starting with today’s Burnout Paradise Remastered and including the freshly-announced port of Apex Legends. Nice. EA, hear me out: NHL, please. Please. With that said, let’s get to the main event!
New Releases
Burnout Paradise Remastered ($49.99)
SwitchArcade Highlight! It’s not very often that we see a full-effort EA game make an appearance on the Switch, but it sounds like that particular situation may be turning around. Here’s the deal: Burnout Paradise is an awesome game. Like, it’s a brilliant racer/open world driving game and it merely showing up on the Switch is almost sufficient for it to be considered the best of its genre on the platform. The two big issues here are as follows: how good the port is, and how willing you are to pay the price. EA has promised the port is high-quality, and everything I’ve seen so far leads me to believe that.
