Hello gentle readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for May 13th, 2021. In today’s article, we’re going over all of the new releases of the day. It’s quite a long list, and it’s more interesting than it is good, I’d say. Well, I wouldn’t be surprised if one game or another catches your eye. It’s that kind of day. We also have the usual lists of incoming and outgoing sales for you to consider. Let’s get to it!
New Releases
Arcade Archives Guzzler ($7.99)
Hamster’s gone way back into the annals of history for this week’s selection. Back when it was known as Tehkan, Tecmo released Guzzler in 1983. One of a huge crowd of games inspired by Pac-Man, Guzzler sees you playing as a weird creature that has to put out fires by scooping up puddles and spraying them on the flames. It’s an odd one, but it’s not entirely unpleasant to play. Hamster has done the usual fine work of bringing it to the Switch, offering the usual selection of options to tweak. Hardly a must-have, but if you have a fondness for off-beat vintage games, there’s a good chance you’ll like this one. Preston Sterling and the Legend of Excalibur ($3.99)
This game offers a combination of janky action sequences and bland exploration bits. Considering this comes from the developer behind Secret Files and Lost Horizon, it’s almost shockingly poor. It takes about an hour and change to get through, and has only a few inven...
