Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury ($59.99)

If you didn’t already play this game when it released on the Wii U, this is an easy recommendation. It’s a nice contrast to Super Mario Odyssey‘s open world collectathon, focusing more on somewhat linear courses that feel more like those found in the 2D Mario games. It’s also a superb multiplayer experience, which is not something that comes around often in a 3D Mario title. For those who already played it, the biggest point of interest is probably the new Bowser’s Fury content. It’s a four-to-five hour side story that takes the framework of Super Mario 3D World and applies it to some very experimental ideas. Is it worth the price of admission on its own" No, not really. But as an excuse to pick up and play Super Mario 3D World again, it does its job. Persephone ($8.00)
