Disruptor Beam Announces The Walking Dead: March to War for Mobile
Star Trek Timelines developer Disruptor Beam announced that it partnered with Skybound Entertainment to create a new mobile game based on Robert Kirkman‘s comic book series The Walking Dead. The game is called The Walking Dead: March to War, and it will allow each player to lead a group of survivors in a quest for resources.
The Walking Dead: March to War is described as a “story-driven multiplayer strategy game.” Set in and around Washington, D.C., the game will allow each user to build a camp and fight both with and against other players to gather resources.
Users will be able to recruit multiple survivors for their teams, including characters from The Walking Dead such as Rick, Michonne and Negan. In addition, Disruptor Beam said, players will be “faced with an ongoing series of moral choices,” and that they will need to defend their camps from both walkers and other survivors. In a statement, Jon Radoff, founder and CEO of Disruptor Beam, commented:
The Walking Dead is an iconic franchise, and one with millions of fans around the world. We?ve had success bringing both Star Trek and Game of Thrones to mobile, allowing fans of these franchises to tell their own stories through gameplay and the connections they make with other players. We very much look forward to continuing our work with Skybound Entertainment to create a similarly authentic and graphically impressive 3-D game that truly brings to life the world fans love in The Walkin...
