Welcome to Facebook. Now Facebook wants to make sure you never have to leave.
The social network Wednesday introduced updates to recommendations, local events and call-to-action buttons on pages for local businesses.
Facebook said in a Newsroom post that users who post status updates in which they are seeking advice can turn on recommendations for that post, enabling friends to provide suggestions in the comments section, which are then bundled together in one place. Users can also turn to the social network?s recommendations bookmark.

Facebook?s events bookmark was also revamped to enable users to browse event recommendations by popularity with friends or past connections with similar events, and the social network said the new events dashboard will begin rolling out in the U.S. ?in the coming weeks.?
Facebook also described the updated calls to action for local business pages in its Newsroom post:
We?re introducing some new ways for people to take action faster once they?ve found something they want to do or a place they want to go.

Order food: You can now order food from restaurants directly from their Facebook pages. Simply click ?Start Order? on any restaurant?s Facebook page that uses Delivery.com or Slice.
Request an appointment: For local businesses that require you to book an appointment, such as spas and salons, you can now request a time via the business? Facebook page and view their entire slate of services and offerings. They?ll then get back to you on Me...
