Fallout Shelter Update Adds Quests, Improved Combat, New Enemies
To celebrate the one-year anniversary of the launch of Fallout Shelter on mobile, Bethesda launched a major new content update in the vault creation game. The update was first revealed at E3 2016, and it adds quests, combat improvements and new enemies to the game.
In Fallout Shelter, users build underground Vaults to protect Dwellers from the Wasteland at the surface. With this update, players can build the Overseer’s Office in their Vaults for 1,000 Caps. Once the room is built, players will gain access to a new quests menu.
Players can complete a variety of quests, including daily quests. Quests see players assign teams of up to three Dwellers to complete tasks out in the Wasteland. Dwellers take time to reach quest locations, but users can skip travel timers using a new Nuka-Cola Quantum premium currency. Users can give their teams RadAways and Stimpaks so they can heal while in the Wasteland. Quests may see players explore new locations and buildings in the Wasteland. Users may also meet new Dwellers during quests.
Users can explore locations by dragging their Dwellers to rooms, or by tapping on rooms they’d like their Dwellers to move to. Users can tap on sparkling containers within rooms (where available) to collect free items and Caps.
When Dwellers encounter enemies during quests, the game’s updated combat system will allow players to tap on Dwellers and then tap on enemies to attack specific ones. Users can also attack by ta...
