Fifth Journey Releases Kubo: A Samurai Quest on Mobile
Fifth Journey released Kubo: A Samurai Quest on iOS and Android. The match-three puzzle game is based on the film Kubo and the Two Strings, and it includes both regular match-three levels and match-three battle levels.
In each regular level of Kubo: A Samurai Quest, players are challenged to complete an objective before running out of moves or time. For instance, one level may ask players to earn a required number of points, while another may ask them to fulfill villagers’ requests by making matches with specific kinds of symbols. Other stages ask players to make matches with bird symbols to create origami warriors for their armies.
These warriors can be taken into the game’s match-three battle levels. During battles, players can make matches with sword symbols to damage the enemy. As their warriors take damage, users can create matches with hearts to heal them. Users can also create matches with orbs to charge their warriors’ special attacks. As players complete levels, they may receive special origami mystery boxes as prizes, which contain origami warriors. These boxes take time to open, but players can spend premium currency to open them instantly. Users can also purchase extra mystery boxes in the game’s store. These boxes can be opened immediately.
As players collect duplicate origami warriors, the duplicates will be used as evolution points for the original warriors. An origami warrior becomes stronger when it evolves.
