Industrial Toys announced the launch of Midnight Star: Renegade on iOS. The shooter is the follow-up to the original Midnight Star, which was released in 2015. Midnight Star: Renegade features 150 campaign levels, and it also allows users to participate in daily and weekly events.
In Midnight Star: Renegade, each campaign level asks players to compete a different task. One stage may ask players to eliminate every enemy, for instance, while another may ask them to prevent enemies from making their way through an airlock in the environment.

In each mission, players can tap and hold on the screen to shoot at enemies, and they can swipe to move their characters around the environment. Users can tap to toss grenades, and they can also pinch with two fingers to zoom in on enemies. Players can earn up to three stars on each stage, with stars being rewarded as players complete specific tasks. For instance, players may earn one star on a level for simply completing it, while another star may be awarded for completing the stage in a short amount of time, and so on.
As users complete missions, they’ll earn rewards including Bits (currency), armor for their heroes and weapon parts. Users can install new weapon parts on their weapons to change their stats. In addition, users can transform their unwanted items into Scrap, another currency. Users can spend Scrap to craft new weapons, armor and other items for their characters.
