Jam City Adds The Flintstones to Cookie Jam, Panda Pop
Jam City announced that it has expanded its partnership with Warner Bros. Entertainment, and that it has launched temporary Flintstones-themed content updates in two of its mobile games: Cookie Jam (a match-three puzzle game) and Panda Pop (a bubble shooter). The companies previously partnered to bring Scooby-Doo to Jam City’s mobile games for Halloween in 2016.
During the month of November, players of both Cookie Jam and Panda Pop can complete Flintstones-themed quests and in-game events featuring Fred, Wilma, Barney and Betty. While both games have been updated with temporary Flintstones-themed content, Jam City said Cookie Jam is “the main focus.”
In a statement shared with SocialTimes, Josh Yguado, president and chief operating officer of Jam City, explained why Jam City integrates entertainment brands into its products: Gaming and entertainment are colliding like we?ve never seen. Gaming companies are becoming entertainment brands. And entertainment brands have gotten into gaming these days. We call the trend gamertainment.
