Spotify Reveals Top 10 Songs of Summer 2016
Spotify revealed the most-streamed songs on its platform for summer 2016, with Drake‘s One Dance coming in first place globally.
Spotify determined the top songs of summer 2016 by looking at the most-listened-to songs on its platform between June 1 and Aug. 31.
Globally, Drake’s One Dance was followed by This Is What You Came for by Calvin Harris (featuring Rihanna), and Cheap Thrills by Sia in the top three.
In terms of the U.S. specifically, Drake took first and second place, with One Dance and Too Good , respectively. Rihanna’s Needed Me came in third in the U.S.
As part of this announcement, users can download the TuneMoji application on iOS and access a set of music stickers based on Spotify’s “Songs of the Summer.” With the TuneMoji app, users can browse stickers containing short song clips, and they can send them to friends on iMessage, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp and more.
