The Simpsons: Tapped Out Receives Sci-Fi Event
EA Mobile launched a new content update in The Simpsons: Tapped Out on mobile. The science-themed update allows players to complete new quests as they interact with Stephen Hawking.
As part of this event, players will receive Hawking as a new character for their towns. Users will also be able to construct the free PolyVac item, which will generate a black hole connecting their towns to other dimensions.
Early on in this event, players will need to send Homer through the black hole to complete a quest. When Homer comes back, he will bring with him a group of alternate Homer characters. Users can send these Homers to complete special tasks at the PolyVac to collect Matter, one of the new currencies in this event.
The black hole will also spawn enemy robots over time, which players can tap to collect extra Matter and Robot Parts. As users collect Matter, they can unlock a series of prizes including new decorations and buildings for their towns. Robot Parts, meanwhile, can be used to craft futuristic buildings and decorations inside the new 3D Printer item. Players receive the 3D Printer for free as part of this event. While gamers can manually tap on individual robots around their towns, they can also play a special SciFighter mini-game at the PolyVac, which will instantly defeat every robot in their towns.
