Aliph is sent to do some routine maintenance work, but these simple beginnings will take her on a journey across the world, meeting new people, making new friends, and bringing balance to the light and dark within herself in action/puzzle game Even the Ocean.
Well, maybe not the action or puzzle stuff. If you want those elements in the game, that's entirely up to you.
Playing through Even the Ocean requires you to find the balance between light and dark...or purple and green. Aliph can charge herself in various ways as she explores the world - a purple charge makes her move faster horizontally, whereas a green charge makes her jump far higher. Knowing where to charge each side of the bar to will be key to solving the game's environmental puzzles and helping guide her through the storyline.
That's assuming you want to play those sections. The developers have allowed you to choose whether you just want to play the game for its story, its puzzles, or a mixture of both. You don't have to play any particular portion of the game that you don't feel like doing, letting you savor the game's world as you see fit.
