The Fun & Serious Festival is Europe's largest videogame festival. It celebrates the work done by game developers, directors, artists, and producers in a full program of activities including conferences, lectures and panels, networking sessions, and events for trade members and general visitors. This year, the festival will take place from November 25 to 28 in Bilbao, Spain.

The Fun & Serious Festival actually consists of several events at once. Here's what's going on in Bilbao:

VIT Talks (November 25 & 26): major international influencers for the creative industries will share their perspectives on one main theme: The Future Reality. These talks will touch upon Virtual Reality devices as well as other areas, such as Big Data, Wearables and other new technologies that will be setting trends in the near future. There will be several high-profile guest speakers, with Warren Spector being this year's guest of honor.
Games Industry Forum (November 25 & 26): The Games Industry Forum is both a conference for presentations and panels about business development, publishing, and legal issues, as well as a valuable networking opportunity for developers.
