Taking minimalist design to new heights, avoid 'em up Ellipsis doesn't even need text to introduce you to its weird, colorful universe. The game is all about abstraction - fly through a glowy neon wonderland full of unfriendly geometric shapes, try to reach all checkpoints, and collect some sort of flying dots for extra points before vanishing through a portal into the next level. As one does.

It is an absolute joy to look at, an elegant ballet of shapes and neon colors, and it keeps throwing enough new things at you every few levels to keep you interested. Learning to play feels intuitive due to the responsive mouse controls.

Completionists may find reaching all of the points in some of the harder levels frustrating. However, the difficulty stays fair - dying is usually your own fault and not the game's. Besides, Ellipsis is pretty lenient, letting you progress with minimal gatekeeping, so even less nimble players will eventually make it through its 150 stages.
If that's not enough, the game lets you fiddle with its level editor and use the Steam Workshop to share your creations or download even more challenging user-made stages.
