Particle Fleet: Emergence Pits Your Space Tactics Against An Unpredictable Enemy
Knuckle Cracker has been building its own strategy niche for the past seven years through the Creeper World series. The trilogy of RTS/tower defense hybrids faced your arsenal of turrets and drones against a fluid threat, the titular entity that flowed over the maps with relentless, near-unstoppable force.
Now the developer's newest title Particle Fleet: Emergence evolves that premise, taking the battles into space and trading the liquid Creeper for an intelligent particle swarm that can overwhelm and adapt with terrifying speed.
Out in unknown space, fortune and discovery awaits. Unfortunately for your desperate crew, so does an enemy known as the Particulate, an intelligent mass that can surround and engulf opposition with ease, whose adaptability can overcome any known weapon system. Smart tactics are your only defense, as you build and maneuver vessels, carve out footholds, and push the Particulate back throughout Particle Fleet's campaign.
Your fleet is diverse and customizable, able to be equipped with a wide range of point weapons, energy emitters, and other modules. But your swarming enemy is just as varied, with different forms that range from soft ships and serpentine structures that can flood areas with particles to mimics of your own fleet. If the campaign missions aren't challenging enough, you can also modify your own scenarios in the Simulacrum, or even use included tools to make custom maps and ships.
