Standby Involves High-Speed Platforming In A Glitched World
The world is becoming just the tiniest bit unstable in Standby, so you'll need to use all of your running, dashing, and platforming abilities to hurtle to the exit before each stage breaks down. Enjoy the distorted, pounding beats while you're at it, because this place isn't exactly easy to flee from.
Standby offers fifty-four stages for the player to hurry through, constantly switching up mechanics and pitfalls to keep you from getting complacent. Teleportation may be key in one area, but in the next, you'll be weaving through crushing traps. It keeps changing, and all while the player moves through a glitchy world filled with shuddering colors and explosions of vibrant light.
Like the developer's previous game, Barrier X, expect really fast gameplay, precise controls, and your untimely demise. Although death is just another excuse to admire the mingling of color, distortion, and music the developer's created, right"
Standby is available for $7.99 on Steam. For more information on the game and developer Noclip, you can head to the game's site, the developer's site, or follow them on YouTube and Twitter.
