We Only Got One Button To Save The World In Switch 'N' Shoot
Oh, look. Alien badbutts. I hate these guys. Let's shoot them from the sky! The only problem is that you only have one button in this minimalistic vertical shmup by Matt Glanville. Your ship is constantly moving, and pressing the button both shoots and flips your direction of movement. Colliding with an alien invader means instant death, but thankfully you're back in the fray right away.
All of this sounds almost too simple, but it works quite marvelously. Little touches like the random pilot name generation add a lot of character to the game, and ample color customization options allow you to tailor it to your preferences. Switch 'N' Shoot's simple premise is reason enough to give it a try, and chasing that elusive high score while climbing up the online leaderboards offers enough long-time motivation to keep you enthralled for a while.
You can purchase Switch 'N' Shoot from Steam for $1.99 or from itch.io for $1.24. If you want to participate in the Android beta, you can do so here. For more information, visit the game's website or follow Matt Glanville on Twitter.
