The last time we heard any news about Anthem, CEO of Electronic Arts Andrew Wilson stated that the company was committed to improving the game. Now, another step has been taken toward that goal with a new Anthem update. Update 1.3.0 adds the long awaited Cataclysm event. This means Inversions, a form of modifier which will force players to switch things up to win, and Minor and Major Crystals currency to buy items from the Seasonal Store. Besides this though, there is also new gear for players to earn, new melee weapons, three new classes of weapons, new story missions centered around the Cataclysm, bug fixes, and more!
With this update, Bioware has added in several new gear pieces to better diversify the types of builds available to players in the game. The Interceptor now has has the ?Tesilar Trap? and ?Spectre?s Flash? gear pieces. ?Tesilar?s Trap? is an upgrade for the Cluster Mine and will lay out proximity mines to deal electric damage and shock targets within its radius. ?Spectre?s Flash? is an upgrade for Wraith Strike and will send out a ghost to the target, detonating Aura Combos. The Ranger now has the ?Relentless Pursuit? and ?Arctic Tomb? gear pieces. ?Relentless Pursuit? is an upgrade for Pulse Blast and will string the energy blast to additional enemies when it hits a target. ?Arctic Tomb? is an upgrade for the Frost Grenade and will freeze the target in place. When defeating a frozen enemy, the freeze effect will spread to other nearby enemies.
