Bandai Namco has uploaded the third trailer for their upcoming Gintama hack-and-slash action game, Gintama Rumble. Compared to the first two trailers, this one is much longer with a whopping 13 minutes, as this time we get to hear Gintoki, Shinpachi, and Kagura explains about the game in more detail rather than just showing event cutscene snippets.
Now that we have seen some actual in-game gameplay footage in this trailer, the map design and mission composition in Gintama Rumble is more reminiscent of Capcom’s Sengoku Basara rather than Koei Tecmo’s Dynasty Warriors. There is a variation of missions as you carve your way through hundreds of enemies before they culminate in one-on-one duels against bosses.
In addition to the Gintama Chronicle main story mode, this trailer also confirms a Free Battle mode where you can pick any of the playable characters to use in cleared story stages and the Kabukicho Top Battle mode which has an original story where Gintama characters compete in a four-stage tournament to gather 12 Balls and make their wish come true. As of this trailer, eleven playable characters are confirmed for Gintama Rumble, which are as following:
