Unfortunately, not every award in our “Best of 2016” game awards roll out is a good one. Sad to say, the PlayStation LifeStyle crew has had their fill of gaming disappointments for 2016, and that’s what we have here now.
In the gallery below, we’ve compiled and chose a “winner” as the game that disappointed us the most. It’s not based on review scores, but on overall reception, what we felt when we played it, and other intangibles.

No Man's Sky
Whether its Hello Games over-promising and under-delivering, or people just expected too much from an indie developer, it's hard to deny that No Man's Sky disappointed many fans who were expecting the next evolution of the exploration/sandbox genre. (Read our review)

Mafia III
While Mafia III isn't a bad game by any means, it pales in comparison compared to not only the Grand Theft Auto franchise, but even to its last-gen predecessor. 
The visuals were OK, the shooting was serviceable, and that's basically the entire game. It's an average game through and through except for the story. And people were expecting Mafia III to be better than Mafia II for obvious reasons.
