BioWare Confirms Mass Effect Andromeda Multiplayer Will Be Entirely Optional, Beta News Inbound

Mass Effect Andromeda‘s multiplayer may boast stronger ties to the game’s story over previous instalments, but BioWare has confirmed that the online mode will be entirely optional.
That’s according to Producer Mike Gamble, who revealed in an interview with Kotaku that, unlike Mass Effect 3, players won’t be required to partake in Andromeda‘s online component to get the most out of the game’s story. By utilizing the Strike Team system, BioWare has also provided users with the option to switch between single-player and multiplayer on a whim — a feature “packaged around a meta-story of what’s going on in Helios.”
Per Kotaku:
“There’s a system that we use called the Strike Team system, and fundamentally it allows you to go between singleplayer and multiplayer within the game. And it’s packaged around a meta-story of what’s going on in Helios. I can tell you that there’s a loading screen – it’s not entirely seamless – but it won’t require you to stop your game and restart in a different mode. Because narratively it’s all connected, it makes a lot of sense.” If it is more information you’re after, it shouldn’t be too long before Andromeda‘s multiplayer test is live for all platforms; in fact, according to Lead Designer Ian S. Frazier, the beta may well be with us before the end of the month.

@FatherOfPearl1 Odds are good.
