Capcom has filed a trademark for something called ?Shinsekai: Into the Depths,? which translates to ?New World: Into the Depths.? The filing has appeared on European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) website, indicating that the company will be retaining the ?Shinsekai? part of the title in the West.
However, the translation has people wondering what the trademark is for. Some believe (just wishful thinking) that ?Into the Depths? can somehow be linked to the long-forgotten Deep Down, others believe that ?New World? indicates that the trademark has something to do with Monster Hunter. For those who aren?t aware, Monster Hunter: World?s upcoming expansion Iceborne is set in The New World.
