A new interview with CD Projekt Red CEO Adam Kici?ski has revealed a slew of new information about their upcoming projects, including what they plan on doing with the ever-popular The Witcher series. The interview, however, is in Polish, but Resetera user dazraell looked through the interview and translated some important points for English speaking audiences. First, Kici?ski talks about the Witcher series. Most of his comments are things we heard before, that there are no plans for The Witcher 4 and that The Witcher 3 was a definite end to the trilogy. Kici?ski does note, though, that they still own the rights to the IP and they will likely make other games set in the same world soon. He doesn’t want to let fans and investors down by abandoning the franchise. Next, Kici?ski touches on Cyberpunk 2077. He states that the world will be even larger than The Witcher 3’s, and is hoping that the game’s quality will be even better than their premier title. Kici?ski avoids the question about possible multiplayer elements, but the team is very excited to show the game off to the world soon.
Finally, some updates on Gwent, the full card game based off of The Witcher 3’s popular mini-game. Kici?ski says that Gwent was made as a ‘Games as a Service’ type title, with new features coming next year.
