Grave VR Planned for PlayStation VR, Grave Now Set for 2017 Release
A “loose prologue” to Grave, Grave VR from Broken Window Studios is coming to the HTC Vive on October 25 for $19.99. As the developer adds, they’re “eager to provide versions for Oculus Touch and PlayStation VR in the coming months.”
Providing hints about the larger world of Grave, Grave VR sees you waking up in a strange desert with no memory of how you got there. Following an eccentric reporter, you have to fend off the creatures that come out in the darkness by using light as your only means of survival. Since Grave VR is “designed specifically from the ground up for intuitive motion controls,” expect it to use the PlayStation Move controllers.
As Creative Director Tristan Parrish Moore explained, they see Grave VR as the Silent Hill to the Resident Evil of other VR games, in the sense that it’s more focused on tension and psychological horror. “We’re not looking to make the player feel powerful or give them a huge arsenal of weapons,” Moore continued, with the description adding that there aren’t any guns or traditional weapons in the game. Instead, you’ll have to find the right uses for items like matches, flashlights, and flares. Here’s the list of features for Grave VR:
