Japanese Sales Chart: Dragon’s Dogma Makes Top 10, MvC: Infinite Misses Again
For the second time in a row, there is a new release on top of the Japanese sales chart, and another week where one company dominated the top spots. For this week, the best selling game was the newly released Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser?s Minions for the Nintendo 3DS, with Splatoon 2 coming in at second.
In fact, three of the top five best selling games this week were all Nintendo titles, and with the Nintendo Switch once again topping the charts in terms of hardware, it?s been a pretty good week for the company. In terms of other hardware, The PlayStation 4 managed to narrowly beat out the New Nintendo 3DS LL to claim the second top selling console.
There are a couple of notable games that were bumped out of the list this week, as Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition, Everybody?s Golf, and Coven and Labyrinth of Refrain all couldn?t make the cut for a second week. As was the case last week, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite failed to chart once again. According to Media Create, here?s the 20 best-selling retail games (new releases in bold), along with how each system sold in Japan from October 2 to October 8, 2017:
