More Mass Effect Games Teased By Andromeda Creative Director

In yesterday’s Q&A video with Game Informer, Mass Effect Andromeda Creative Director Mac Walters said the 2017 title isn’t considered the start of a new trilogy. On Twitter, he clarified that Andromeda isn’t the start of a new trilogy, but it doesn’t mean this is the end of Mass Effect:
To be clear. Just because #Andromeda isn’t start of a trilogy, doesn’t mean we haven’t been planning for future adventures. Just not 3 acts.
When someone on Twitter mentioned how they thought his original comment meant Andromeda was the end, Walters replied, “Not by a long shot. There are so many stories left to tell…”
Elsewhere in the Q&A, Walters revealed some more Andromeda details: there’s a New Game Plus, it won’t be native 4K, it will be 30 frames-per-second on some platforms (PS4 Pro TBD), the galaxy map is back but it’s very different, it’s to be determined if your Andromeda save file will carry forward, downloadable characters are TBD, the campaign can be played offline, and there are no Reapers in Andromeda. As you may recall, a March 21, 2017 release date for Andromeda was leaked back in October. While EA and BioWare are still saying it’s launching in spring 2017, the Amazon listing for the digital version of Andromeda on Xbox One stated that it’s “playable on 21-Mar-2016.” Since then, the image has been removed.
