October 2016 PlayStation Store Charts: Battlefield 1 Wins on PS4, Batman #1 on PSVR
In a strong month for new releases, it was Battlefield 1 that finished at #1 for PlayStation 4 in both North America and Europe, beating other big October 2016 titles like Skyrim Special Edition, Mafia III, and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2.
While things were good for Battlefield 1, EA’s other big October shooter, Titanfall 2, finished in 9th in North America and didn’t finish within the top 20 in Europe. Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration also saw a somewhat disappointing debut, opening in 9th in Europe and 14th in North America. World of Final Fantasy, meanwhile, didn’t chart on PS4 in either region, while the PS Vita version settled for 3rd/4th, behind the best-selling Dragon Quest Builders.
As for PlayStation VR, the top title in North America was Job Simulator, with Batman: Arkham VR and Until Dawn: Rush of Blood settling for 2nd and 3rd. In Europe, it was Batman: Arkham VR that took #1, with PlayStation VR Worlds and Until Dawn in 2nd and 3rd.
