Rocksteady Doesn’t Know What Their Next Game Is, But They Have “Time and Space to Decide”
In an interview with Eurogamer, Rocksteady Games Band Marketing Producer Dax Ginn revealed that Batman: Arkham VR for PlayStation VR has gone gold and was submitted to Sony last week.
Rocksteady developing Batman: Arkham VR came as a bit of a surprise, as the developer said they were done with the franchise following Arkham Knight. As for what’s next for Rocksteady, Ginn doesn’t know, but Warner Bros is letting them think about what their dream game would be:
To be honest I don’t really know. We’re in a very enviable position where we have some time and space to decide what we’re doing next. We can sit back and think what our dream game would be, and we have Warner Bros’ support to do that.
I think we’ve proven that we’re a hardworking team, we work well together, and we can really decide what’s best creatively for our own destiny.
Ginn later talked about how the mood around Rocksteady is split, as they know it’s “definitely time to do something else,” but they still feel comfortable being in the Arkhamverse. “We’re definitely letting go of that comfort blanket and putting ourselves in the position where whatever we do next is going to feel very different,” he added.
