The Whole Trails of Cold Steel Series is Coming to PlayStation 4
Nihon Falcom has recently held a presentation for shareholders on their performances in the fiscal year which ended September 2017 for them. In the presentation slide that has been made public, Falcom notes that they have around 40% more sales and 60% more profit compared to the previous fiscal year (ended September 2016), thanks to the releases of major titles like Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana and The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III, as well as foreign localizations of Ys Origin and Tokyo Xanadu.
However, Falcom mentioned the following important points for their plans in the current fiscal year that will end in September 2018:
The newest title of The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel series, which has received numerous awards including Japan Game Awards, PlayStation Awards, and Famitsu Awards, is planned to be released on the home game console PlayStation 4. Regarding The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel and The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II, which had a combined total of over 1 million sales, they are also being planned to be released on the home game console PlayStation 4.
That’s right, Falcom is planning to bring the entire Trails of Cold Steel series to PlayStation 4 in this fiscal year. Other than the first two games, Falcom also implies that the newest Cold Steel game, which would hypothetically be Trails of Cold Steel IV, is also coming to PS4, all following the recent hit Trails of Cold Steel III which so far is exclusively ...
