Tomb Raider Movie “Based on the Reboot of the Game From 2013,” Reveals Alicia Vikander
Speaking to HitFix, the newly cast raider of tombs, Alicia Vikander, has confirmed that the 2018 Tomb Raider movie reboot will draw inspiration from the 2013 video game reboot. Reboots inspiring reboots, you say" It certainly seems that way!
?They told me they were doing the film based on the reboot of the game from 2013,? Vikander explained. ?That is more of an origin story. You get into an emotional aspect of getting to know Lara hopefully in an in-depth way. So I hope that doing a film of the rebooted game will bring something new and fresh that?ll stand on its own two legs.?
Unless the movie is twelve hours long, I’m interested to know which parts of the game will be skipped over. I know I’d love to see the initial cave sequence, as Lara barely makes it out alive. In fact, considering everything that the 2013 Lara Croft went through, this could be one hell of a grim movie. This news also begs the question as to whether or not a movie sequel will follow the video game sequel, Rise of the Tomb Raider. Speaking of which, RotTR now has a PS4 release date. Oh, and here’s 22 minutes of PS4 gameplay.Â
What do you make of this Tomb Raider movie news" Happy it’s following in the footsteps of the critically acclaimed video game reboot, or would you prefer a fresh new look for movie Lara Croft"
