Upcoming Overwatch Patch Will Introduce Changes to the Reporting System
If you’re one of those who are unhappy with Overwatch‘s current reporting system then there’s some good news. Blizzard has said that it’s “actively” working on addressing complaints and the first changes to the system will be introduced in an upcoming patch.
When users complained about being reported for no reason and ending up being “silenced,” Game Director Jeff Kaplan responded with the following:
We’re actively working on this right now. It’s going to take some time for all of the changes we want to do to get implemented. But starting in Patch 1.5 you’ll start to see the early beginnings of change to the reporting system. More changes will come in subsequent patches. One particular user mentioned that he was constantly being reported for playing unpopular heroes, resulting in him being repeatedly silenced.
There’s no ETA on the patch but we’ll update our readers when we have more info.
