‘Call of Duty: Mobile’ Launching Globally on October 1st, New Trailer Released



Back in March Activision announced a brand new, built-from-the-ground-up-for-mobile Call of Duty game called simply Call of Duty: Mobile. It would be a free to play title and feature a huge selection of maps, characters, and features taken from across both the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Black Ops series. In May, they announced that one of its big multiplayer modes would be a Battle Royale mode, similar (but different!) than the Blackout mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. Then in June the game was soft-launched in Australia, and that soft launch was extended to Canada just a few days later. Now today Activision has announced that Call of Duty: Mobile will finally be launching globally in just a couple of weeks on October 1st. Here’s a new trailer announcing that release date.
I grabbed the soft launch version of Call of Duty: Mobile a while back, but due to it being region locked, I never had the time to fiddle around with running a VPN and spoofing my location to be able to actually check it out. That said, plenty of people did do exactly that, and to my surprise I’ve heard pretty much nothing but good things about those who have played the soft launch version. It seems that the touchscreen controls work surprisingly well and the free to play elements largely stay out of your face and are more geared towards unlocking items through grinding.
