‘Call of Duty: Warzone’ Job Listing Hints at a Mobile Release for Activision’s Massively Popular Battle Royale



Call of Duty: Mobile (Free) from Activision has been doing great on mobile ever since it launched a while ago on iOS and Android. It has received loads of new content, modes, and updates since launch and continues to be very polished experience. A now deleted Activision job listing spotted by Charlie INTEL was looking for an Executive Producer, Features for WZM. A lot of the job description involved translating Call of Duty: Warzone‘s essential features into mobile, proposing mobile-specific additions and changes, and more. Call of Duty: Warzone debuted earlier this year on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It is a massively popular battle royale experience. Watch the trailer for the console version below:

Activision treats Call of Duty: Modern Warfare as a platform now with Call of Duty: Warzone being accessible from within it and also standalone. If Call of Duty: Warzone is coming to mobile soon, I expect it to be a part of Call of Duty: Mobile as the battle royale component going forward as Activision looks to leverage its strong Call of Duty: Warzone brand on mobile as well despite Call of Duty: Mobile already being so popular. If they are bringing it over standalone, I can’t imagine the company will have two games on mobile offering battle royale. It is possible Activision wants to try making Call of Duty: Mobile a platform and bring a version of Warzone and do some other content that coincides with this year’s Call of Duty game.
