Attention Android Gamers: ‘The Bonfire: Forsaken Lands’ is in Open Beta on the Google Play Store
In March of last year, Xigma Games launched The Bonfire: Forsaken Lands ($3.99) on iOS. It was inspired by and also something of a mashup of two of my very favorite mobile games: A Dark Room and Kingdom New Lands, and had you playing as a settler building up a settlement from scratch and recruiting workers to both help you build and defend your fledgling society from monster attacks and harsh weather conditions. It featured a ton of cool secrets and details that would reveal themselves the more you played and we enjoyed The Bonfire a ton in our original review as well as picked it as our Game of the Week.
Well if you’re on the Android side of the mobile gaming fence you now have an opportunity to check out The Bonfire: Forsaken Lands for yourself. The Android version has just launched in open beta on the Google Play Store and Xigma expects to fully launch the game at some point this July. Unlike on iOS where the game is paid upfront, The Bonfire on Android is free to download and check out with a full game unlock IAP available for $3.99. With that free initial price tag there’s no reason not to give this in-progress Android version a shot if the trailer above interests you.
