'Fire Emblem Heroes' Updates with Changes to Arena Mode, New Weapon Skills, and More



It's been about a month since the last big update to Nintendo's Fire Emblem Heroes [Free], which means we were just about due for another one. And here we are! The focus this time around seems to be in revamping the multiplayer Arena Mode and making some adjustments to welcome newcomers to the ever-expanding game. Even those who stick to the single-player maps will find a few things to like in this latest version, however.
First up, the changes to the Arena. Offense rewards will no longer be given out at the end of each week. They've been replaced with a variety of rewards for completing chains of victories, with a new reward for each consecutive win up to five. On top of that, bonus allies will now receive stat boosts similar to the ones received in the Tempest Trials battles, adding 10 points to their HP and 4 points to their other stats. There are also some new character-specific weapon skills to unlock. Clair: Highborn Flier gets the Rhomphaia skill and Camilla: Bewitching Beauty gets Camilla's Axe. Corrin: Fateful Prince's Yato can now be strengthened at the Refinery as well.

Rival Domains have had a few adjustments, too. Enemies will no longer attack immediately after warping, which is nice. Instead of facing randomized assortments of enemies, you'll now be facing a hand-picked selection that will remain the same for each event.
