Joycity’s latest mobile release, the mobile MMORPG The War of Genesis: Battle of Antaria (Free) actually has a lot of history behind it, provided you were willing to dig deep into the non-English import RPG scene. The series kicked off in the 90’s, and played a bit like the Suikoden series of games, and had the reputation of being “the Korean Final Fantasy." All the text was in Korean, but this video gives you a great idea of what the early entries in the War of Genesis universe looked like when it kicked off. As far as I’m aware, none of these games ever made it to North America or had any kind of English translation. Well, fast forward around 25 years and we not only have a totally new reimagining of War of Genesis, but it’s also an MMORPG that you can play anywhere you’ve got your phone with you.
