Marvel and Telltale Are Potentially Collaborating on an Upcoming 'Guardians of the Galaxy' Game
It felt like the world stopped for a moment when Marvel and Telltale Games announced they were collaborating on a brand new story title back in 2015. Marvel's unparalleled catalogue of characters coupled with Telltale's fantastic ability in crafting emotive experiences in an enjoyable video game form seemed like a perfect match, and this was before the incredible Batman - The Telltale Series [$4.99], which presented a fantastic new perspective on Bruce Wayne and demonstrated the developers could deal with the comic book universe. The only disappointment about Marvel and Telltale joining forces was the distant 2017 release date, and even as 2016 begins to wrap up we still haven't heard any official news on the details or source material of the upcoming game. However, recent developments from a voice actors union strike has suggested that Telltale are in fact working on a Guardians of the Galaxy game, which while still unconfirmed at this point is definitely worth getting excited about.
While I must again stress that this report is unconfirmed and may still prove to be false, the fact that the game was revealed through a strike by SAG-AFTRA, a voice acting union, and Guardians of the Galaxy is listed as from the same company as The Walking Dead Season 3, there is certainly some basis to these claims.
