OrangePixel is working on Ashworld, a post-apocalyptic open-world action game, but that's not all. The one-man studio has announced a new Meganoid [$1.99] reboot for 2017, and while it's still very early on, Orangepixel is very excited about it. The idea is that it's going to feature levels that are "procedurally generated with a human touch" a la Spelunky. Yet, it will also feature a story with endgame, and an actual progression to the game.
Orangepixel says "It's the Meganoid I can create now, and couldn't back in 2010ish." Considering how far Orangepixel's work has come along in the past few years, with Space Grunts [$3.99] and Heroes of Loot 2 [$3.99] being fantastic representations of Orangepixel's potential, I'm curious to see what this new Meganoid will bring to the table. But first, there's Ashworld to expect, and that should prove to be an interesting game as well.
