'Pokemon GO' Comic Con Panel Moves to Huge Hall H Due to Popular Demand
When the schedule for San Diego Comic Con first came out a week or so ago, I noticed that there was a Pokemon GO [Free] panel in one of the smaller rooms on Thursday, July 21st. The game had just launched, but it was already becoming a huge hit, so I was pretty sure that there would be crowds of people pushing and shoving to be one of the 480 people to get in the room. Fortunately (and as predicted in the TouchArcade halls), SDCC organizers figured out that the game has become so huge that it deserves to get a place in the SDCC spotlight, so now the panel has moved to the famous Hall H that fits over 6000 people.

It's no surprise that the switch happened because SDCC is going to be the perfect storm for the game with thousands of GO fans descending upon San Diego and many pop culture-related organizations taking advantage of the crowds to organize Pokemon GO related events. The new panel will take place on Sunday at 1:45, and it will be all about examining 'the past, present, and future of extending games beyond the screen and re-imagining reality through the lens of Ingress and Pokemon GO.' I'll try and get in to tell you what's going to happen during the panel, but I have a feeling that no such thing shall be possible on that day.
