'PSF 2016' and 'Football Heroes PRO 2017' Are out in Time for NFL
With Football starting this weekend, it's the perfect time to get back to playing Football games, and the two that came out this week should keep you pretty happy. PSF 2016 [$6.99] is probably the premier football manager game on the App Store. The Pro Strategy Football Series has been around for a few years, and it's the work of a single developer. Last year, he decided to make two games, one that focused on playing through a long career and one that focused more on just playing games. This time around, PSF 2016 combines both and adds new features as well. You can scout the draft, trade draft picks, run mini camps, and in general go really deep into coaching your team. And on game day, there's all kinds of real strategies, calling plays, dealing with fatigue, and so on.

Football Heroes PRO 2017 [Free] on the other hand is more of an arcade take on the sport. You'll be trying to smash everyone in sight as you use skill, strategy, and special moves to make it to the end zone. This year's version has the 2016-2017 rosters - including the 2016 Rookies - each with his own special ability and attributes.
However, the biggest - and very welcome - change from last year's version is the removal of contracts, a sore spot with players. Contract management forced you to spend coins on maintaining your team (players would get old and retire), so no more having to do that. A big change, and one that I know players will appreciate.
