Battle royale games are already the hottest genre in gaming, and they just had another big moment of Tuesday night when Fortnite streamer Ninja blazed his way into the consciousness of whoever didn't already know him by enlisting Drake, Travis Scott and NFL player JuJu Smith-Schuster to help break Twitch records. Epic Games recently announced that Fortnite is on its way to mobile soon, so the gauntlet has really been thrown back to its main competitor, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds. And lo and behold, that challenge has been accepted, because PUBG Mobile, the legit mobile version of that game, is entering soft launch today.
That's good news for those of you who prefer its style of play to Fortnite's build as you battle frenzy. The potentially bad news is that it's only confirmed to be in Canada for the time being, and only on Android so far. However, reliable sources say PUBG Mobile is on its way to the Canadian App Store "soon." Could soon be today" The subreddit for the game says it could be.
